Frequently Asked Questions
Who are you?
We are a non-profitable organization whose primary goal is two-fold:
What's a freefill?
The word freefill was concocted by combining the words "free" and "refill". The concept of a freefill is applicable to many disciplines, particularly in the fast-growing self-service beverage industry.
Where are you going with freefills?
The freefill concept will ultimately change how we think about ourselves, and the world. Until that time, freefills will be used by a select number of citizens when demanding more than one cup of their beverage of choice.
When did you conceptualize the freefill concept/word?
The word and concept were born in 1988. After 9 years in an incubator, freefills were introduced on the Internet to the chosen ones. Originally positioned as the world's first portal that relied solely on freely available content, freefill.com was re-christened and it's goals were reverted to their former glory.
Why are you doing this?
As Phil says, "Citizens of the world cannot be satisfied by what can be contained in a single 12- or 16- ounce cup." We deserve unlimited freefills on typical beverages. The cost to owners is insignificant, while the benefit to consumers is immeasurable.
How can I help?
By reading about freefills, you are already helping! To further our cause, please:
What can I do to support your cause?
The preferred way to support the freefill cause is to ask for freefills instead of free-refills and educate those who are unfamiliar with freefills. However, if you are the type to show your support monetarily, please visit our contributions page.
Are you serious?
Yes, we are quite serious.
What mind-altering substance were you on when you came up with this?
Believe it or not, this revelation came unassisted.
Do you have too much free time on your hands?
Believe it or not, no.
Can I get a mug, t-shirt, etc. with that cool guy on your home page?
Yes! Please visit the The Freefill Co. Store for ordering information.
Who drew that cool guy on your home page?
A talented cartoonist, Kyle Goodman, drew Phil. Kyle is the mastermind behind Surf Rat & Spencer.
What happened to the Web directory?
Actively maintaining a Web Directory proved to consume too many resources. As a result, we were distracted from our core goal. After intense consideration, we decided to discontinue our Web Directory. We apologize for any inconvenience; however, there are several other good directories still available, such as the Open Directory Project.
How can I get in touch with you?
